Confidence Issues

The causes behind low confidence or self-esteem are many and varied. We all perceive the outcome of events differently. Some of us may lose an argument and feel that our confidence or self-esteem has been dented. Others might lose the argument but manage to keep their confidence and esteem intact. It really does depend on how you view life.

Many people do not realise that we can control our perceptions, altering them to be more helpful as we move on to similar situations in our lives. Once we realise that we do have some control over the way we think about matters, we can then start to redirect our perceptions to a more positive and healthier conclusion. Remember that people with confidence and a healthy self-esteem experience common life events too. How you deal with the events is what makes the difference.

If we are extremely self-critical, why do we expect to have a good self-image and strong self-confidence? There are enough people ready to criticise others, without us joining their side.

Hypnotherapy works for confidence issues. Through hypnotherapy, the client is given the opportunity to explore the cause of the lack of confidence, should it exist. The hypnotherapist helps the client to resolve any past traumas that have contributed to current thinking. Once this has happened, the client is helped to view matters in a different way, recognising that the glass can be half full as well as half empty. A lack of confidence can really restrict life and stop people from grasping the opportunities that present themselves. A confident person makes opportunities and as a result, has more options in life.
