Smoking

Many people who want to stop, quit or give up smoking have tried willpower, patches, gum and lozenges. Hypnotherapy tends to be the last resort and yet hypnotherapy is increasingly proven to work.

It is very important to have one factor in place before visiting a hypnotherapist. You must want to stop smoking for reasons that are important to you, otherwise you will be wasting your time and money. If someone else is demanding that you stop but you don't want to, then it is quite probable that you will remain a smoker until you change your mind.

There is nothing wrong with seeking help to stop smoking. It's no different from seeking the expert assistance of a plumber or electrician. Shouldn’t health be our most important priority, even without considering other benefits such as living longer, having more money in your pocket and getting rid of odours.

In order to assist you to 'leave that old unwanted habit behind' we recommend a minimum of two hypnotherapy sessions. The first session ensures that your belief, motivation and commitment are in place so that you can remain a non-smoker. Hypnosis is then tailored specifically for you.

Of course when you look at the facts about smoking, logically you know you must be foolish to continue. Here are some excellent reasons for you not smoking.

  • About half of all regular smokers will die from smoking related illnesses.
  • Cigarette smoking contributes to disease of the blood vessels and is particularly related to artery obstruction in the lower limbs causing poor circulation.
  • There is no safe level of smoking. It is always dangerous.
  • Smokers have at least twice the risk of heart disease of non-smokers.
  • Current female smokers aged 35 years or older are 12 times more likely to die prematurely from lung cancer.
  • More women die annually from lung cancer than any other type of cancer; twice the mortality rate of breast cancer.
  • Do you know how many chemical compounds there are in tobacco smoke? More than 4,000
  • Smoking does not reduce stress.

The good news is that you were born a non-smoker and you can become one again. So stop trying and just stop smoking now. Choose health instead!!
